  1. Free Your Mind by Benny Sutton
Free Your Mind by Benny Sutton

There are a couple of classic style Jazz tracks on the Chasing The Groove album. Free Your Mind is one of them. It's quite a simple chord progression with a classic turnaround. I go through my repertoire of virtual instruments; horns, trumpet, fretless bass.

  2. Eddie's Groove for Eddie Harris
    Eddie's Groove for Eddie Harris

An original composition that boogies along. It was inspired by Eddie Harris' 'Compared To What' jazz standard. The drum track is straght off of my version of Birdland. I play all instruments, arrange, produce the track. From the Back To Basics album.

  3. I sorta got a feeling

  4. Absent Friends by Benny Sutton

Another more traditional jazz track from the Grooves album is Absent Friends. I was looking to swing and it seems to have worked. Basically a 12 bar blues structure I like to think it captures the spirit those early jazz groovers - the guys who were funky before James Brown, guys like Horace Silver and Eddie Harris.

  5. The Kid by Benny Sutton

No prizes for guessing this one is dedicated to my main man, my son AJ.

  6. Blue Samba - latin jazz track
