Rebirth of the Kool
Rebirth of the Kool

Rebirth of the Kool is an album that takes its name from a back reference to the iconic 1957 Jazz album, Birth of the Cool. There the similarities end.

Yes, there’s some trumpet here, but this is not a Miles Davis tribute act. Not a reincarnation, more the next iteration. There are a couple of respectful nods and winks to the legacy of the jazz along the way, but Jazz is dead anyway!

The ambition here is to go where no one else dares travel, that is the only similarity to the original.

Rebirth of the Cool crosses over the most important forms in music today; Hip Hop, EDM, Latin, Pop, and jazz (note the lower case j). This is dance music for raves as much as it is cerebral adventure!

Under the hood there is virtuoso musicianship from a tight band of session guys here; all under pseudonyms to preserve anonymity.

Best of all, it never wears thin from repeat plays.

That’s right!
