Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1985. The band has been credited with reviving the mainstream popularity of rock music at a time when pop and dance were dominating the charts.
1985 Guns N' Roses is formed by Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler, and Izzy Stradlin.
1987 Release their debut album "Appetite for Destruction” which becomes the best-selling debut album in the United States.
1988 Release the album "G N' R Lies” featuring the hit "Patience."
1991 Release the albums "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II” which debut at No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, respectively.
1993 Release "The Spaghetti Incident?" an album of punk rock cover songs.
1994-2007 The band undergoes numerous lineup changes and hiatuses. Axl Rose remains the only constant member.
2008 Release "Chinese Democracy" after a prolonged recording process.
2016 The "Not in This Lifetime... Tour" begins, featuring the reunion of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan.
