Fleetwood Mac is a British-American rock band formed in London in 1967. Known for their turbulent history, harmonious vocals, and enduring hits, they have become one of the most successful rock bands in history. Originally coming out of the 1960’s UK Blues Boom as a Blues band fronted by Peter Green, they eventually morphed into the most popular California soft rock band ever. You couldn’t get away from their album “Rumours” in 1977 – it was everywhere!
1967: Fleetwood Mac is formed by Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie.
1968: Release their debut album "Fleetwood Mac” achieving initial success with blues rock.
1970: Peter Green leaves the band due to mental health issues, leading to several lineup changes.
1974: Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks join the band, marking a significant turning point.
1975: Release the self-titled album "Fleetwood Mac” which includes hits like "Rhiannon" and "Landslide."
1977: Release "Rumours” one of the best-selling albums of all time, featuring hits like "Go Your Own Way” "Dreams” and "Don't Stop."
1979: Release "Tusk” a double album with a more experimental sound.
1987: Release "Tango in the Night” featuring hits like "Little Lies" and "Everywhere."
1997: Reunite for "The Dance" tour and live album, revitalizing their popularity.
2003: Release "Say You Will” their first studio album in nearly 20 years.
2018: Lindsey Buckingham leaves the band again, replaced by Mike Campbell and Neil Finn.
2022: Christine McVie passes away, marking a significant loss for the band.
