AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. The band is known for their high-energy performances, gritty sound, and iconic rock anthems. They probably have more tribute acts than any other rockers!
1973: AC/DC is formed by Malcolm and Angus Young.
1975: Release their debut album "High Voltage" in Australia.
1976: Release "High Voltage" internationally, followed by "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap."
1977: Release "Let There Be Rock” which helps build their international reputation.
1979: Achieve major success with the album "Highway to Hell."
1980: Lead singer Bon Scott dies; he is replaced by Brian Johnson. Release "Back in Black” which becomes one of the best-selling albums of all time.
1981: Release "For Those About to Rock We Salute You” which tops the charts.
1990: Release "The Razors Edge” featuring the hit single "Thunderstruck."
2008: Release "Black Ice” which tops the charts in multiple countries.
2014: Malcolm Young retires due to health issues; Stevie Young joins the band.
2016: Brian Johnson leaves the band due to hearing issues, and Axl Rose fills in for tour dates.
2020: Release "Power Up” their seventeenth studio album, which tops the charts.
