A modern re-imagining for guitar of the Weather Report track from the Heavy Weather album. On it I take the melody line Wayne Shorter plays and I play it on guitar. Written by Joe Zawinul

The greatest ever collaboration that never happened. I play Jimi style over Mile's track 'Right off' from his album 'jack johnson'

All Blues

For this track I've gone back to my blues roots. The solo starts off very clean but soon descends into anarchy. The name of the preset I used on my guitar pedal is 'Bonamassa' that should tell you all you need to know! Seriously, the wah wah Rock Blues thing is how I used to do it. So now I have proven I still can get down mean and dirtay. All Blues is classic Miles Davis first appearing on the influential 1959 Columbia album Kind of Blue

This is another Sting song I play mostly on guitar but hand over the chorus to trumpet. Don't miss the use of the "whammy bar" on the solo! The "Englishman" in question Sting refers to is the famous eccentric and gay icon Quentin Crisp. Sting wrote the song not long after Crisp moved from London to an apartment in the Bowery in Manhattan. Crisp had remarked jokingly to the musician "that he looked forward to receiving his naturalization papers so that he could commit a crime and not be deported."

Where were you when you first heard Stevie play this track? That's why Stevie, and this track in particular means so much to me. I've always wanted to play this track but had to wait until now to be cool enough to do it! ? Another of the great Fender Rhodes riffs ever. Another great Stevie ballad!

Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis Collaboration #4 Voodoo Chile
Download Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis Collaboration #4 Voodoo Chile
What if... Miles and Jimi run the voodoo down on a groove similar to Jimi's classic Voodoo Child in the 1980's? Miles did a track called "Miles runs the Voodoo down" on Bitches Brew (1970). It was limited by recording keyboard technology. I conceive a groove that morphs into an authentic late 1970's Jazz/Rock/Funk/Fusion piece using technology Miles and Jimi never had! I play or sequence all instruments except bass (where I am nobly assisted by Steve Shone). Steve's brief was to throw in some Marcus Miller and Jaco Pastorius in, which he did with his usual expertise.
